NESPRESSO U LAUNCH | AUSTRALIA

A few weeks ago, I was invited to the launch of Nespresso U, their latest machine innovation. The idea of Nespresso U, is all about you and your personal taste. Incorporating with this concept, the event had 4 hosts including, Chef Alessandro Pavoni, Photographer Justin Ridler, Mixologist Mike Enright and Designer Darren Palmer. We entered each of the host's different zones to enjoy a custom experience designed around our own individual tastes and desires. First I started at the bar, trying a selection of the extensive list of cocktails, then I went to design with props, a kitchen top around the Nespresso U. After that, I went and tasted some interesting risotto with an array of spices, then a picture with Justin Ridler who just walked off the film-set of The Great Gatsby. It was great to have these experiences, enabling guests to embrace the whole lifestyle of the brand.

The Nespresso U being priced just at $299 it makes it an affordable investment if you are a coffee drinker (like me)! It only takes about 25 seconds to start up and automatically turns off if in active after a while, making it fast, efficient and energy saving.

There was also a competition for the best kitchen table top design and I was also lucky enough to be chosen as the winner, winning a Nespresso U! I can't wait to use it. Thanks!

Check out a little video I shot with Nikon 1 and some images from the night, including a collage of some final images shot by photographer Justin Ridler!

THOMAS SABO SWEET DIAMONDS COCKTAIL PARTY | IVY BALLROOM 2012

Two Friday ago, I was invited to THOMAS SABO's Sweet Diamonds Cocktail Party, celebrating the launch of the brand new line, Sweet Diamonds Collection with THOMAS SABO CEO Bernd Stadlwieser held at the Ivy Ballroom. With over 500 guests it was an event that wasn't to be missed, so of course I attended with 2 friends Lauren and Riley wearing a piece of THOMAS SABO to support.

The night was hosted by host by Natalie Gruzlewski with Guy Sebastian performing his hits and an impromptu duet with his brother Chris, who recently appeared on The Voice Australia.

Some of the new Autumn/Winter 2012 Sterling Silver collection – Glam & Soul DANCE were also on display including a new fragrance that will all be launching this month.

I had a chance to chat to Bernd, and to many of our surprises, was extremely easy to talk to and looked younger than most of us expected. Here are a few snaps I took on the night with Bernd, some friends, and of us wearing THOMAS SABO pieces, plus also a video of Guy Sebastian singing!

I'm wearing Ben Sherman floral shirt, G-Star Blazer, Seed jacquard pants and unknown red bow tie.

CONEY ISLAND LAUNCH | ZETA BAR | HILTON HOTEL SYDNEY

Last Thursday, I was invited to the launch of Zeta Bar's new Friday Night Concept: Coney Island! There were Circus-inspired freak shows, tarot card readers, caricature sketchers, tattooist, funfair games of coconut shy, strongman acts, hot dog stands and circus sideshows.

First entering the event, we were greeted by a ticket booth where we picked up the menu and a colourful lollypop, leading us past obscure mirrors into the main event. Drinks served were specially concocted twisted 1950s cocktails like cider-spiked toffee apples, cosmopolitan candy floss, long island iced tea snow cones, “alchoshakes”, “nitro shooter bar”, classic cocktail sorbet bar, espresso foams and so much more I can't even remember! There were fairy floss, hot dogs, pop corn & toffee apples too!

This amazing idea concept was created by Grant Collins- Zeta Bar’s international bar consultant and mixologist, who you may remember created the Extreme Cabaret concept (read about my colour blog post HERE), I went to last year. This theme was just as fun and quirky. One not too miss!

The themed Coney Island nights are for a limited time only, so roll up roll up and get there this Friday before it's gone! Here are some photos I snapped on the launch night!
